The KLI Theory Lab grew out of Werner Callebaut's previous efforts to establish a comprehensive (physical) Evolutionary Epistemology documentation center at the KLI, for use by the institute's staff and visiting scholars.

The virtual KLI Theory Lab facility was technically designed and implemented by Thomas Klemm, who also ensures its further development and improvement. In addition, Thomas is in charge of handling users' feedback.

Dagmar Braunsperger, Alma Jusic, and Ulli Kühn provided necessary secretarial assistance.
