Angela D. Buscalioni

After obtaining her PhD in biological science from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in 1986, Angela D. Buscalioni has been a postdoc at the Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales in the same city. She has taught Palaeontology and Evolutionary Biology at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid since 1988. Her subject of study is fossil archosaurs and their recent descendants (dinosaurs, pterosaurs, crocodiles, and birds). Her main research is in systematics, focusing on the patterns of morphological transformation involved in macroevolutionary events. She works on the skull, forearm, and girdles of the amniotes, integrating neontological and paleobiological data. Angela D. Buscalioni has been a lecturer in the Department of Biology at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid since 1998.
